Kernstück des VISION RD4SD Projektes ist der Dialog zwischen Wissenschaftspolitikern (work package WP3) mit dem Ziel, eine gemeinsame Vision darüber zu entwickeln, wie Forschung und Entwicklung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (RD4SD) gefördert werden sollten. Zudem wird eine Roadmap mit Empfehlungen für die Nachfolgeprogramme des 7. Rahmenprogrammes der Europäischen Union (WP4) gemeinsam entwickelt. Die vorliegenden Länder- und Regionalstudien sind so gestaltet, dass sie diesen Dialog unterstützen.
Le but du projet VISION RD4SD axe sur le dialogue (WP3) entre les responsables politiques afin d’élaborer une vision commune sur la manière de mettre en valeur la recherche et le développement au service du développement durable RD4SD et d'établir des feuilles de route et des recommandations pour les suites à donner au 7e programme-cadre de l'Union européenne (WP4). Les études de cas visent à encourager ce dialogue en créant une base de connaissances d’ activités nationales ou régionales, fournissant en particulier des exemples de bonnes pratiques pour mettre en valeur la recherche et le développement au service du développement durable.

A growing number of inter- and transdisciplinary (ITD) toolkits provide methods, processes, concepts, heuristics, frameworks, and other resources for designing and implementing ITD research. A brief overview of the currently fragmented toolkits landscape is provided, fleshed out through descriptions of four toolkits.
